This research paper, realized in parallel with my Cosplace project, proposes a critical reflection on costume and disguise. It traces the history of disguise from antiquity to the present day. It questions the notion of inhabiting the other, the role of society in disguise and the singular practices linked to costume.

This edition is the retranscription of my research around this issue. It is a 60 pages book, for which I realized about twenty illustrations.
